Dr. Michal Zurawski is a Private Equity-focused operator, investor and advisor with extensive experience leading value creation, due diligence, and transformation initiatives across infrastructure, aviation, FMCG, healthcare, technology, finance & services, food value chain and transport sectors. He has a proven track record delivering EBITDA optimization, enterprise value growth, governance enhancement, operational restructuring, and scalable platform build-outs for PE- and VC-backed portfolio companies. His work spans the full investment lifecycle, including commercial and technical diligence, deal structuring, post-acquisition integration, cost reduction, and exit preparation, across transactions ranging from $300m to $6bn. He has worked on primaries, secondaries (LP- and GP-led) and continuation deals.
Alongside his advisory work, he brings deep domain expertise in technology, healthcare, pharmaceutical innovation, and advanced materials science, with particular specialization in cell and gene therapies, nanotechnology, and bioengineering He currently serves as CEO of MICA Biosystems, a complex therapeutics company with a pipeline of 16 assets, as well as a Partner at KELES- a European growth-stage healthcare fund.
Dr. Zurawski has held operational and Board roles across multiple technology and healthcare companies and is recognized as a subject-matter expert in Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) and cell therapies. He serves as an Expert Advisor to the European Commission and has advised the UK Government through an All-Party Parliamentary Group. He was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Healthcare & Science list in recognition of his contributions to the sector.
He holds advanced degrees in materials science and engineering, with a focus on bioengineering and translational medicine.
His practical experience is further enriched by 10 years of service in the British Army Reserve, reflecting a disciplined and pragmatic leadership style. Outside of work, he is an avid chess player and skier.
