Matt Schmidt excels in organizational design, cost-to-serve analytics, and operational excellence. His combination of engineering fluency and business acumen delivers measurable impact to clients in the manufacturing, distribution, and consumer durables sectors.
Prior to Streamliners, Matt was a strategy and operations consultant specializing in supply chain optimization and forecasting. Previously, he spent six years at Ford Motor Company as a platform structures engineer, where he launched two vehicle lines and delivered system-level solutions to reduce cost while making vehicles safer in crashes.
Matt holds an MBA from MIT Sloan with and dual B.S.E./M.S.E. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time at the lake, endurance swimming, skiing, and University of Michigan Football.
